River Edge Day had a notable difference from most other town or borough days: it was actually entirely about River Edge. Local businesses, local organizations, and local groups all showed up, and nary a professional fair booth in sight.

People from all over River Edge showed up on this pleasant day (although they DID have a rain date prepared, just in case).

The people of River Edge (not to mention this reporter) were able to meet and greet around the event.

Local Democratic candidates for office showed up....

...as did the local Republican candidates. With this level of interest, it looks like River Edge will win no matter which party wins (although the individual candidates may differ on this contention).

Local groups, such as the River Edge Beautification Committee were there, to meet the people and give advice.

And Boy Scout Troop 184 liked it so much, they set up a camp site.

OK, there WAS an out-of-town group; music was provided by Moonwalk Entertainment of Bayonne.
